Tissington Tale

The Tissington Trail is just perfect for a summer bike ride. Our weekend with Heather and Peter began with a three mile dusk walk in the heart of Derbyshire followed by a nine mile bike ride along the old disused railway line.

Once again Heather and Peter created a sumptuous environment for us to eat well, chill out and remember the good times. We also had a chance to dream about meeting up under The Southern Cross with a glass of wine and the waves kissing our toes.

Our hosts Heather and Peter having lunch outside Hartington signal box.

Peter showing no signs of anxiety after telling us it was over a couple of decades since he last took to two wheels.

Heather's not looking tired, she is in fact eating sweets - so what's new?

Theo having a break after riding four miles on his little bike - it must have felt like ten miles with his little legs.

Yasmin on her hired bike that she wanted to take home.

Roger and George after nine years and fifty one weeks of marriage.

Wild sweet peas were a delight to the senses.
